During this three-hour training session, Erica Grigg, CMO of Carbon Outreach, will delve into
how to create value through strategically using social media. During this session, we’ll provide
outreach lessons from case studies in the social enterprise, NGO and CSR industries.
We'll gather lessons from NGOs like NRDC, WWF and Earth Justice. In the corporate social responsibility space,
we’ll draw upon examples from those who’ve been nominated ‘green’ and ‘responsible’ companies like Avon and HSBC.
For green companies, we’ll consider the social media outreach tools of Terracycle and Seventh Generation.
Whether your company is looking for consumers, clients, donors, or looking to partner with non-profits,
this conversation will focus on using social media for cause-based conversations around your organization online.
We'll cover several topic areas including,
- Using Twitter to connect with bloggers and journalists, improve employee engagement, crowdsourced fundraising, networking and sales
- Using your LinkedIn group to create conversation and thought-leadership in your industry, determining which LinkedIn groups to answer questions to stay an industry leader
- Using Foursquare to learn more about your consumers as a brick-and-mortar location, as a platform for charity partnerships or for social networking as a virtual location/brand
- Using Facebook Status updates, events, and pages in conjunction with other social networking tools to make a highly successful marketing campaign
- Using Quora (Quora.com) like a focus group
- How to connect your eNewsletter with your social media efforts effectively
- Learning more about your social media users (tools to help you learn more about who is following you and judge the quality of your messages)
